OK, here are some pics taken during the project. I added them to the original post. I'll get more pics of it now that it's finished this week (I hope)!

The front end is stock Harley. It rides nice. A little stiffer, but there's no nose dive when braking now. The fatter tire wanders a little in grooves and such, but seems to feel more "planted". The front sits a little lower now and there is less rake. It steers quicker. But I can honestly say it's not a bad trade-off all around.

I would be more than happy to help out any that I can. I never used the fork lock, so losing it was no big deal to me. There are a few minor mods that have to be made to the springer. Plus, I went from the stock 21" wheel to a 16". That meant I had to move the brake bracket post down a bit.

I gotta get back to work. Later.

Yeah, that's sweet. I think this forum shows that there would be allot of interest in a Dyna Springer Model. I too would like to do this, but keep the larger front wheele, and rake it out a little.

Yeah, give us the details, including the $ if you would.

I always thought the opposite. My previous bike had a huge front tire and those construction grooves they put on the highways never phased me a bit.

With the skinny tire on my 06 Street Bob I am like [sm=scared09.gif] - not a fan...

Gorilla,

Nice work!
Looks like it would be a blast to ride. I like the look of the 16" wheel.
Did you get new frontend or did you pick up a usedset?
