'cept ebay is worldwide and China is the absolute worst when it comes to product from ebay you can buy a 2 dollar item but it will cost you 20 bucks to send it back with signature verifcation they got the scam down .........so I never buy from them.....anymore
I've been ebaying for years. Due dilligence is the key.If you know exactly what you want, find out how much it costs at retail and then go to ebay and search for it. And, don't just buy the first one you see - check all the prices first - you'd be surprised.
I've gotten some great deals and I've also sold some things at ridiculous prices.
I went to a NASCAR race once - it was one of those races where 1 of 5 drivers would get a million bucks if any of them won the race. One of them did and they air-cannoned thesegreen pieces of paper that had the name of the race and "No Bull Million" printed in red ink on them. They were literally low-grade office paper cut up roughly the size of dollar bills. I scraped up a handful from victory lane and put them on ebay. Sold them all and wished I had more - I got as much as $50 each for them and don't think any went for less than $30. I could have picked up hundreds of them but only got a handful. When I left, they were sweeping them up with the trash.
Just goes to show - things are worth whatever someone will pay in the free market. Doesn't matter what you THINK it's worth. If someone won't pay it, it doesn't matter. But, as PT Barnum said, "there's a sucker born every minute".
