So I got this 2006 Lowrider, my hubby was suppose to help me "change" a few things, he got called away to another country and wont be back for a few months. Where is the best place for me to find a manual on my bike that will help me change out things like headlights, seats, relocating lights, etc? I wanna make sure I do it right, and right the first time! Also when I am buying parts how do I know that they will fit my bike?
I also recommend the parts catalog for your model. The Harley website offers a downloadable accessory catalog which you can store on your hard drive. Between these three books, and the guys and gals in the Dyna forum, you are good to go.
You can have that LR so your husband won't even recognize it when he gets back from his commendable and valuableservice abroad. Thank him for us and give us a yell if you need help.
Service manual is the best money you can spend, first. (It will help you spend more money, later...)Lot's of verysmart folks on this forum, you'll be only a mouse click away from that help. Good Luck, on the Low Riderand be sure to tell your husband Thank You for his service. And you for your sacrifices as well.
Like hk_shooter and jmpancoast say, get a Service Manual; you won't regret it. jmpancoast's source recommendation isa great deal. If you don't win the bid, try Zanotti Motors. They have great discounts and are knowledgeable and easy to work with over the phone if you have questions regarding parts availability and fit for your bike. Here's a link to ordering the Service Manual from them:
One of the best investments you can make...

And now you can use this smiley[sm=icon_rtfm.gif]when others ask you questions
ok, so after I recieve this manual and start reading it, where do I start for part replacement, is it "what I want" or is there a "what I need"? Are there certain things that you should get first, or do you start at the top and head towards the rear? Close my eyes and pick a part? Heck, which way do I go?[sm=smiley15.gif]
