Here's my 1998 FXDL........almost 10 years old now. I can't really think of much else to do to this bike anymore. I leave town riding to this bike.....but one of the Electra Glides get the long trips.
Very nice!! Hope mine looks that good in 10 years.

BTW, my lighter install is working out real fine, but I did learn NOT to make more than 1 pot of coffee, without letting the bike run for a few minutes to charge the battery. Damn that bike is hard to push uphill. Park Ranger gave me a jump start

My 2004 still feels new to me! I did get it second hand just a year ago, of course. It only had 5,000 miles on it and I've put on another 5,000 on it in just a year. I've still got some things I want to do to it so I'm not even thinking about a new bike. I can't understand why anyone would want to change bikes that often anyway.

Yeah, I've got this bad habit.
Seems like every 10 years or so I get an itch, looks likeI'm good for a while.

I was reading that after 20,000 people get a new bike. That would be one bike every year for me if I was going by that. I had to buy a second bike because my 07 lowrider was hit in the rear end with 19,000 miles on it. They told me it would take 5 months to get it fixif the dealer was going to fix it. So charm city chopperswill have it fix in a couple weeks.

99 Wide Glide with 25k miles on mine. (14k by me). It is my first bike and it has taken two years to get it like I want it.(Cams, pipes, aluminum wheels, saddle bags, auxillary lights, flashing brake light, crash bars, floating rotors, Oil temp guauge, tachometer, dual disc conversion and chrome lowers in a couple of weeks). I have as much fun working on it as I do riding it.

I have to make minor repairs every few months but it has never left me stranded. As long as the bikeremains reliable it will be the only bike in my garage.

I bought my 01 FXD in April this year for 8 grand at the dealership and it had about 1500 in accessories and 15000 miles. I wouldn't of wanted a new one cause the not carbed, but I got a hell of a deal to boot anyways.

02fxd-can't ride for a-while (health) but just wanted to say,,one of the best upgrades people miss out on is the race tech emulator's for the front forks,,and like the dude who is going to have chrome lowers,,sence he's in there anyway,,,,its one great improvement for the front suspension...I got there springs too... then out back you could change out the shocks,,,I got the progressive suspension but there are lots of opptions there....and for that stearing head nut,,,you can get a clock from clocks4bikes,,,and the fork caps ,,,,you can either have'em machined with a little hole in the middle to pour fork oil,,,(of course you got'a put in a little bolt w/0ring) or buy em like I did,,,what an easy fork oil change,,,in minets.....try one of these..someday..
