I'm thinking about buying another Dyna. I've had a 1999 Dyna Convertible and a 2002 FXDWG in the past and currently have an Ultra.
Couple bikes I have been considering are:
1994 FXDS with 15,000 miles and just had all gaskets replaced at the dealer.
Asking price is $6000 obo.
2002 FXDWG with 65,000 miles, recent dealer service and new tires.
Asking price $6000.
Both bikes are extremely clean and look to be well kept. Do you guys have any opinions on either of these bikes? Guess I'm kind of looking at the trade offs on each. High miles but 10 years old or less miles and 18 years old.
The Evo won't have the issue with the cam chain tensioners the '02 Twin Cam will ...
Evos are good hard running motors ... but, you are getting an 80" mill vice the TC's 88" (assuming both are stock) ...
I guess both are 5-speed ... however, prices on either of them don't seem all that attractive ...
Are you looking at a dealership ...? I'd check out the craigslist / ebay / other private sale option as well ... just saw on here where a guy bought an early '00s Low Rider for $3,800 ... looked to be good condition / relatively low miles ... from a VW dealer that took it on a trade ...
Good luck ... time to come home to the Dyna side ...
