bolverk,
My springer feels better then stock. Not as mushy no nose dive. The springers with out the shock will bounce more but I think they look better.I got the one with the shock cause I really like to ride my bike and didnt want to give up to much of the ride. Now mine is a 6' over stock length so I do feel some flex in the front end if I hit a bump in the corners. Not scary or anything but I can feel it.Also keep in mind as you read this I added rake to my neck 10 deg to give me 38degs.That will smooth out the ride when you make the wheel base longer. Hope this helps. Mike

Super01,
You can get covered shocks from Jirehs Cycles for about $70 bucks now you get what you pay for so If you want good ones Progressive makes the covered 412's also for about $300.

Shred,
The belt is 3' wide kit.Yes it does whine.I forget the part# you should go to http://www.beltdrives.com/then find the one you need for your year. They have with the outboard bearing support and without. Then go to http://www.jirehcycles.com/.I got mine for about $1500 saved like $500 at Jirehs. If I can help just drop me a line.

I looked up the part # in the Jirehs book #58-543 for 1990 to 2001 Dyna part# 58-544, 2000 and later. Both kits are $1599 from Jirehs. BDL list them for around $2500.
Mike
Both kits are with the outer bearing support like mine.
