oh, and did your stealer mention if it is the same shield on the 07 Street Bob? Yours looks identical to mine.
I'm 99.99% sure that it is the same. I just sent the money to the guy. I should have them next week. If it's as easy as stated, I'll get it done and post pix and let you know the story. If it's a pain, I'll have to wait until I have more time to fool with it. Probably not many good riding days left so I'm not going to get my bike where it's half taken apart and can't ride it. It sounds easy enough though. I'm also supposed to get my new streetbob solo seat next week. So, I'll have to deal with removing the rubber bumpers, installing a new seat nut, etc. as well. I'm going out of town for work Monday and will stop at the stealer's to pickup a new seat nut and cap (hopefully). I wonder what else I'll find that I didn't realize I couldn't live without... hahaha
All the Dyna's 06-08are the same head pipes except the fat bob... I've installed lot's of them and have them is stock for that reason only... ( forward controls) Install... jmpancoast is right on.. 5 min...5/16 socket 1/4"drive and a extension...
One more chime in. They WideGlide sheild absolutely fits. As stated, a couple minutes to remove sheild and replace. Its basically held on with hose clamps.
$30 bucks is an excellent price for what you are getting, I think.
I paid $60 for the WG heat sheild new to put on my FXD.
The SE sheild should be identical to the WG.
