I'm pretty sure the bars and solid riser bushings are making the problem worse, but the wobble was there with the old bars too. Was in the process of passing a semi this weekend, doing about 85 when she decided to do her best impression of a saddle-bronc. I pulled over, removed the seat cover from my a** and let about 15lbs out of the front tire- seemed to help some. I ordered the drag specialties steering stabilizer kit for her, and when it gets here I'll let yall know if it fixes the issue. I was just curious if i was the only one experiencing this issue.
Nope ! Bike is very steady. Maybe you hit a Ford Trail ( Oil That Leaks from Fords Crank seals ) ( They lose about a quart every 250 to 500 miles.) ( At least, that is what my Ford dealer said is normal for a new Ford Product. He has sold Ford products for over 40 years. It use to be 50 to 100 miles. ) My Lincoln Product no longer leaks oil. It burst into flames, while parked. Something about a Cruise Control Brake Switch.
I really think it's the road. Sometimes when I get up to around 85-90 mph there is no wobble at all.....other times it wobbles so much it scares me. But I will say that I have never gotton any wobble while on the interstate that I can remember....only on state highways. This is what leads me to believe it is the road and not the bike. I remember coming home from Denver and I stayed at a 80 mph clip and never a wobble once (even in Kansas where the wind was horrific). Maybe its the "lean" in the road or the uneveness of state highways...I don't know. I may invest in a stabilizer...until then, when I wobble I'll just slow down!
