That is one good looking bike. Ibought an 08 FXD a month ago and hope that someday I have my bike looking half as good as yours. My wife is dreading the thought of me and all of the parts catalogs laying around the house.
Initial plans are to change out intake, exhaust, wheels, new seatand who knows what else from there.
Been there, done that. My wife doesn't care too much when I have the various bike catalogs spread out on the table either. You just have to be a bit more sneaky and shop online..LOL! My advice would be to do what you can, when you can and have fun with it.

...but the Brawler pushes me just a bit too forward and I have to sit at the back edge of the seat.
Same here...I'm6' &find myself sitting right on the top of that back lip edge. It's not bad...I sometimes find myself shifting my *** downinto the seat to get off that "lip" when riding though. I bought that seat because I don't like the look of a thick, fat seat. I would like to try the HD sundowner solo though? Might look better in person than in pics?

I think most shops will let you put one of their seats on your bike so you can try it out, but yes, it's the lip of the seat that I find myself riding on with the Brawler too. I too don't like the looks of a "thick, fat" seat.
