I've seen the picturesof the wrinkle blackrocker covers on a Street Bob andI'm thinking that might be my next mod. I'm wondering what it would take if I wanted to do the work myself. Any help from those that have tackled the project?
do a search... I know Sin and i posted a bunch after we did ours... if you need help let me know i did mine myself... You will need a dog bone addapter for the torque wrench to get into some of the hard to reach spots (I did not remove my tank)
i got mine from snap-on....i know, not the cheapest route to go.... but wanted to do the job, solidly
....and i removed my tank.... just made things easier.... it's not that hard at all....but when you do it, replace that crossover line with the chrome one because you'll destroy the stock one
be prepared to lose some gas when you're removing it, too..... cover your engine.... i used a plastic trash bag with a towel over it
also, MAKE SURE EACH PISTON IS AT TOP DEAD CENTER!.... a manual will help you with this....and check my previous posts....mudpuddle helped me with this, big time!.... he knows his ****!
Get a buddy to help. Not required, but it makes it easier when putting then back on, due to the torque sequence. It will keep you from going from one side of the bike to the other multiple times.
Follow the manual and it is pretty easy
