Service manager is gonna say what? Problem was the primary flange nut that catalysed itself because the ballbearing seating procedure wasn't followed when you rode the bike off the lot?
Sounds to me like they arent following procedure. When they change the front O ring, they need to use a good amount of gasket sealent with it and to make sure all surfaces are 100% clean and bolts torqued down in ORDER. Lots of places dont do this. I can tell you for a fact, many techs at these dealerships dont follow procedure at all. They get it in and out as quick as possible.
Lemon law.....C4.....Lawyer.......Letter to HD USA about the Dealership... Anything but don't take your bike there and most diffently let everyone you know in the area about the "raw deal" "crap service" and "world class coustomer service" you received. Hope its not to far to a new dealer.
Ya know, you got the bike to have, in my opinion......The pre-'06 Superglides are the best! Might be worth taking to another mechanic or dealer and having it fixed. This is really a minor deal. Chances are, you can take it apart, get some real good gaskets, check the surfaces to see if they're warped, if so, a quick milling will fix it, and no more problems!!! Perfect opportunity to go to the gear down kit, pressure plate and HB 125 auto primary chain adjuster!!!!! Hate to see you get rid of such a nice bike, when it can be fixed. Basically, you got fu**'ed by the dealer, it happens, unfortunately.........but on the positive side, it CAN be fixed, and is much better than getting a new fat tire softtail or something.....[&:]
