I'm struggling with the decision of which bike...wide glide or softail custom. Both bike have that classic raked out look that I associate with Harley. The softail looks like it has more suspension travel than the wide glide which is important to me. I like the dyna because it is unbalanced should be smoother at speed. Can anyone help me decide? I don't know enough about either bike to help with this decision.
I think the WG and new softail customs look a lot alike. Personally I like the exposed shocks, the WG is a nicer ride in my opinion. My buddy has the softail. My bike wails his
Ride them both, then decide. That's what I did. Each forum's crowd will blast you for choosing the other. [8D]
Thats not always true. I'm from the "other" crowd and last time I was out with forum members I sat on someones fxdwg and found myself a half hour later sitting on them in the dealer. I'm not saying it is better than my Fatty. I doubt I would ever get rid of her but, well, I was siting on the wide glides and lowriders. There is no way to decide without sitting on them. Thats all you will need to do to decide and either way you will proba bly not be sorry. Have fun!
