PS Please don't tell me to do it myself as I do not like wrenching my own stuff. I love screwing up other peoples stuff though!
I think servicing my bikes is fun for just the routine stuff. And, I know it was done right...

2 -3 hundred dollars for what's basically a lubricant change isn't my idea of fun.

Tell you what. Change your fluids, check the few things listed in the service manual, and then go to the dealer and tell them that you did everything you know how to do.

But then tell themyou couldn't figure out how to "rotate your wallet."

They'll do that for you for about $300 in five minutes flat.

I went out and bought the service manual. Saved myself 250$ and learned to give it a 3 point oil change. This is one of the easiest things to do. The gear and tranny are a since. The oil was a little messy because you need something to catch the oil when you take the filter off. Other then that its a piece of cake.

Good luck ...
I cut a piece of cardboard, bend it half-round, and slip it under the oil filter. That directs most of the oil to one place and keeps almost all of it off the bike. The cardboard is long enough to direct the oil out past the bike.

I had it done about 3 weeks ago, cost $320, they provide a "free" pick up service which was nice......turn out to be necessary as I walked out the garage and found a nail in the rear tire.

After the service and fixing the flat - $430..........It really pissed me off that the flat cost me nearly $100 ($60 labor, $25 tube and other parts). I gave the service manager some crap, guess thats just the way it is. This is my first bike with Spoked rims, i.e. tubes.

I think our local dealership has Jack Sparrow running the sevice dept. $400 + for 1k service with no pick up ect......just because they can.

Needless to say my warranty is null and void......bastards!
