Alright guys and gals...about a month ago I entered the new member's site and made it known that I was looking into an FXDC. I was greeted by a bunch folks welcoming me and even few with some good advice. Well my original intent was to wait unti spring and then buy the bike (keep in mind I had already seen "the bike of my dreams" at a local dealer). Well, I have been going back and forth on the idea of when to actually purchase the bike, all the while I had the check from the bank sitting on the kitchen table. Anyhow (I'm certain that most of you know where this is going), yesterday I went to the dealer with check in hand and I bought the bike! I saw it again and just couldn't resist! At first they didn't want to sell it to me since it was the only one in stock and they weren't sure if they were getting any more any time soon, but with enough wining from me, I got the bike! I'm having a back rest installed for the wife so we agreed that I would pick it up on 1 December. I certainly hope it is a decent day weather wise (I live in upstate NY) so I don't have to wait any longer. So I just wanted to thank all of you for treating me like and old friend and helped making the decision that much easier.
Congrats from another SuperGlide rider Bobby. You are going to enjoy the hell out of it I assure you. I've done quite a few upgrades to mine in the short 8 months I've had it, so if you ever have a question don't hesitate to shoot a PM or post. There is a vast wealth of knowledge in here from numerous riders.
Thanks Tom, I got the Pacific Pearl Blue w/the black accent. I really like the color, it looks sharp with just enough chrome to set it off. The only mod I did right off the rip was to add a medium/low back rest for the wife so she is comfortable. Yeah, it'll be a long winter just looking at that baby sitting in the garage till March.
