This is my first post here so don't beat me up too bad if I am beating a dead horse on the question that I am gonna ask... Does anyone have the inch and three quarter drag pipes on thier 07 superglide. If so how do they sound and do they sound good w/out the baffles.. Considering those or the black short shots but I like them LOUD...not a sloppy loud but wanna make sure my a$$hole neighbor is awake at 2 in the morning when I get home if you know what I mean....thanks for all input
I dont have the info on those particular drags, but i have v&h drags on my 03 wideglide with no baffles and set off car alarms rolling thru wal marts parking lot. I beleive the cycle shack pipes will **** your neighbor off nicely.[sm=trust_me.gif]
I have the cycle shack baloney muffler pipes. They are a good performance mod for that stockmotor with big sucker , lots of tq. I live /ride in the country and no neighbors to "**** off" except for a few cows, but again if I wanted a good loudsound I wouldremove stock slip-on's and just run the headers. That sure **** off a bunch of people.
ok, so maybe I should just suck it up and spend the money on the black short shots then. I would really like the big radius but I can't see paying the money for those. I love my superglide and all but damn those things are expensive!!! So anyone running the SS without the baffles?? And just how easy is it to install a fuel pack, I mean I watched the V& H install video just to see how hard it was but once it's installed how do you tune it?? just got alot of questions to see if it's worth it, before I spend my kids milk money Thanks again all.
I'd make sure you listen to the Short Shots. I just pulled a pair off my '04 FDX. After I swapped them out with the ProPipe the guys I ride with said they were glad because my bike sounded like a tractor. If you are looking for a low rumble do a 2-1 pipe or get long wider radius drags. Short 1 3/4" pipes didn't sound good IMHO. Additionally a shorter pipe usually robs your engine of torque.
