Unless you want essentially the same tone/volume level you have now, you might be happier with Rush slip-ons or another similar brand.
Do a searchfor "07 SE slip-ons" and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have the new SE's on my Street Bob, and they are way too quiet, at least for me.
I agree, wait and see what they sound like before dumping $350 on them. If I do it, from what I have heard, it mostly WOULD be cosmetic, they do look cool I think though.
Gilly
When I bought my FatBob, the salesman took me around to meet the parts guy, the clothing guy, & the service manager. Their angle was to include everything I wanted in a package deal. I asked about SE slip-ons & he told me Harley got out of the "sound" business. The SE's are about the same as stock mufflers in volume. I'll wait for the Rush mufflers to arrive. Rush has a new slip-on just for the FatBob.
I did the se slip ons, but I have not taken delivery yet. I will let you know. I did the SE slip ons for my 1200N, and I loved them. They were just right, and definitely louder than stock. The parts guy try to talk me out of them as well, but then again he also told me harley was not doing the ecm downloads anymore... IDIOTS. Said I had to buy the race tuner/power commander for 450 bucks. TheSE slip ons for the fat bob look great, and I will let ya know how they sound in about 4 weeks or less.

I was set on getting the SE's for the fat bob but everyone at the HD dealer got a funny look on their face when I asked about them. I decided to go with the Rush slip-on instead. they are on backorder, should have them in a few weeks. I'll post pictures/sounds before and after once i get them if you can wait that long. I'm crossing my fingers that they will not be to loud.
