Default 07 vs 08 engine

Does anybody know if there is a difference between 07 and 08 engines?, I bought a 08 103 ci stage 1 kit for a 08, But I have an 07, Wouldn't think there would be much difference.

I was going to buy a "big sucker" AC on ebay. The details said it would fit an 07 or earlier, but not an 08, so I didn't bid on it.

Apples and Oranges. The A/C's are different between 07 and 08, you can see that by just looking at them. Doesn't mean the motor is any different. The motor is supposed to be the same but who knows what little tweaks they may have done internally considering 07 was the first year for the TC96 product-wide. I'd call a stealer tech or even HD and check it out first.

Yea, I noticed the stock cleaners are differenton the08, but if an 07 AC won't connect to an 08, then they may have changed the way the AC mountson themotor. I haven't found a clear answer yet.

That wasn't the question though. He wants to know if his 103" kit will work. Has nothing to do with the a/c. Of course, I'm sure he'll need to change the a/c to feed that upgrade.

If he bought either a black 27535-08 or silver 27536-08 103" stage I kit, he gets an air cleaner kit with it. Since these kits are '08 Dyna specific, they probably come with the 29406-08 Dyna air cleaner. The '08 air cleaner should bolt up toan '07throttle body since the '07 style air cleaner bolts up to an '08 throttle body ( says so in the SE catalog). Obviously, the '07 air cleaner cover won't work the -08 air cleaner.
