Default New Goodies

Been awhile since I have posted. I am all moved to Oregon and I really like it here. I just had a local shop do a bit of motorwork and WOW. The shop is KBR in Sandy, Oregon and the prices are great and the quality is top notch.

Here is a list of what I had done.

95" Kit from KBR
570 S&S Gear Drive Cams
Fueling Lifters
HD Pushrods
Kibble White Valves
HD Springs and Collars
HD High Compression Pistons

Heads are ported and polished. Man are they really nice. I saw a side by side of stock heads and mine...Harley does a great injustice to thier heads.

Also had a stiffer spring put on the clutch. I like the stiffer pull.

Also ran the breathers to the rear of the bike instead of back into the throttle body.

All of this was done for $3440 bucks. I am only one day out of the shop so I have not had the post Dyno done (Waiting until 1000 miles). But the difference is huge. Damn bike is a rip snorting monster now. I really recommend KBR for anyone in the East Portland area...it is worth the ride out.

Sounds like she's gonna be a runner, for sure. That thing should pull like a Clydsdale. May need the velcro on the grips and your gloves.
Just curious, why the change in the breathers?
BTW, do you haveto change your screen name now

Good to hear from youaBob. Been quiteawhile.

Sounds like you got a good thing going with that build.
Did my motor recently as well.

Good call on the breathers too.
Keep putting off rerouting mine, so this is a kick in the butt for me.

shooter, the conventional breather routing
injects oily muck into the throttle body.
Take off you air cleaner and have a look.

Thanks Lo, good to be back. Time to start the wishing for a break in the weather...lol.

MUD- I really need an update on your scooter! I have been away quite some time and need to catch up on the fine work you are always up to!

HK Shooter- IMHO there is no real need to put the crap from the vent back into the intake...If I was running a real EFI system I might consider it "worthwhile" but really it is just some Bull the greenies want you to do...I guess getting almost 60 mpg isn't enough..lol. Pull your air filter and take a look in your throttle-body, there will probably be a little "gunk". Oh and Para Ordnance is better than HK....lol.

Holy cow!! That is a mess. Thanks for that tip, mud. I guess the intake doesn't draw enough vacuum to re-circulate theoil mist then, correct?

My best Tank was 57 mpg. I usually average around 48-50. I have gotten as low as 30 something though...but I was messing around a lot.

I will take a picture of my bearther setup this week if I remember and this weekend at the latest. It is nothing special really. Anyone can do it.
