Default Solid rear wheel -- 2007 WG

OK... just for the record, the following solid rear wheels will fit with no modifications.

2007 Deuce
2007 Sportster

Is that correct? Is that all of them?

I'm looking on ebay for one and I want to throw a 180 tire on it. Just making sure I got it correct.

Thanks,

Tony

Deuce yes - I will be putting one on my FXDBI when the bearings and sleeve arrive. Because my wheel is for a 3/4" axle, I have to bore it for the sleeve. You should be OK.

The sportster wheel is 16" with a 150mm tyre I think whereas the deuce will take the SE 180 tyre.

I could be wrong, I often am.

if you buy the wheel new you will need to buy 1" bearings and sleeve. If it is off of soft tail you will need to remove 3/4" bearing and sleeve. then replace with 1". Dyna has 1" axle

Topspin -- just an FYI to let you know you do not need a new wheel to utilize a 180 tire. You can throw one on your existing wheel.

If you want a solid wheel for looks.... well then by all means post some pics when you're finished because I'll most likely be doing something similar by spring.

you can use a deuce wheel you just have to switch the wheel bearings. I have an 03 deuce wheel ready to put on a 06 streetbob took it to a local bike shop to have 3/4" bearings removed and 1" bearings installed . as long as your dyna is 06 or newer.

Here is mine. 07 Bob with a Duece wheel. All it needed was the new bearings/spacer and bolted right up. Sorry for the lousy pic.

I've considered a Deuce wheel as I really like its look. But, the rear wheel is so covered up by the shocks, rotor, etc. that I decided to leave the spokes for now.

As Wyde Glyde Bry said above, you can install a 180 with the stock wheel. I did. I have the SE 180. It feels fantastic but it's very soft and will wear too fast for my wallet. I'll be looking for a 180 alternative soon.

This 180 discussion interests me. Is there another 180 that will fit with the existing SB spoked rim?

Will going to a solid wheel allow you to go without using a tube?
