Thanks for the replies. I'm still confused, but I have made a decision.

Shopping list:
- Rinehart slipons.
- SE AC.
- SERT.
- Exhaust actuator eliminator.
- Intake solenoid eliminator.
(see http://www.bigjoechoppers.com.au/eliminators.htmlfor the eliminators)

When the bike is broken in, I'll bolt on the parts andfind a dynoman than can do the tuning.

Maybe I'll put on the slipons (or have the dealer do it)when I pick it up new at the dealer. If I have understood it right, the slipons alone won't demand any remapping, but I will havesome sound improvementsfrom day one.
Or you could put on the slipons, a/c, and the SERT and then use a canned map until the bike is broken in. Then, get the dyno and fine tuning after the break in is done.

Actually I've been listening to all of you, but I think I've chosen a safe track. Again, thanks for the replies!!!!!

BTW: The bike will be US $42.360,-. Then comes the exhaust, AC, SERT, forwards, pegs, detach sissy, sundowner seat ++++, a total of aprox $47.000,-. [:@][:@]I'm NOT joking.

Holy @#$%! So, it's a Screamin Eagle Twin Turbo Supercharged Model with solid gold trim? And I thought I paid a lot for mine...

Seriously, can some of you experienced guys comment on why he should break the bike in stock first? I'm not arguing it, I really want to know the answer. I was thinking he might as well let it breathe and break it in with a canned SERT map vs. breaking it in "strangle mode".

Possible reasons to wait until 1000 miles when engine is fully broken in and first service done:

Can't decide on pipes (or other components) yet and
Dyno tune puts lots of stress on the engine in upper rpms (don't want to do this on a new engine)

But no reason not to do as as you suggest by doing stage 1 intake, pipes and remap from the git go if you have already decided on what you want. It's what I did to get the full 2 year warranty on the HD parts (incl. SERT), 20% off HD parts and labor (winter dealer special if done before new bike delivery plus their labor rate is really cheap anyways). Then get it dyno'd after the 1000 miles and fluid changes.

Fair enough Chip - that's what I was thinking as well. I understand you wouldn't want to put a lot of strain on the motor during break in by thrashing on it on the dyno. That's why I recommended just using a canned map for the SERT until break in was complete and then fine tune it on the dyno.

I'm not even sure I'll even be able to watch when I have my bike dyno'd. I don't ride it like I stole it and never even do burnouts.

It's Norway. Porche starts at $125.500,- for the Boxter. The Boxter S is $161.800,-, and the cheapest Cayenne Turbo starts at $325.500,- but then they bundle a gallon of windscreen washer fluid. Any better????

Boy is my head spinning. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, now I'm as confused as I was when this started.
