A few of mine. Stock marketing pic, which is exactly my bike stock, pic of the direction I was going with rigid sissy bar and windshield, and latest pic with mods after coming to my senses that I wasn't after a touring bike.
These pictures aren't a perfect match, but they'll do. I still have the "wife kit", but it's all detachable now. I'll kick in a "during" shot too. When I was looking for a decent "before" picture, I saw this shot and it reminded me of that feeling I get everytime I start messing with the bike (even smaller projects) whereI ask myself ifI even know whatI'm doing.
Thanks for sharing guys! I appreciate serious modifications of course, but I loveseeing the comparison shots because they make the subtle stuff stand out too.
ORIGINAL: mudpuddle
I really like that shot with the stock front assembly
discarded, kicked to the curb.
Good luck BOTY.
Coming up soon.
Some stiff competition.
mud
hehehe, yeah it's funny how that nice stock front end suddenly became just junk that was in my way. Of course, the next morning I carefully cleaned her up and stowed her out of harm's way.
I'm not sweating the BOTY at all but I appreciate the comments. I mentioned this already in a thread a while back, but I think my bike's a little too lean and mean for a glam-fest like the BOTY. Good golly . .last year's winnerwas a nice looking bike of course, but that thing was a freakin' parade float ;-) I don't mean that disrespectfully because I liked it, just pointing out that mine couldn't be more different than something like that. The BOTM is really pretty cool because despite the Jets Vs. Sharks junk (Softails vs. Sporties vs. Dynas vs. Baggers, etc), a wide variety of bikes actually win and we get a new winner every month. The BOTY is a natural extension of that . .. but no one bikeis going torepresenta hugeforum like this very well. It's still going to be fun though.
Still itchin' to see the Mudglide all finished up.
Sorry for the detour . . back to our regular scheduled "before and after" action . . .
