Default Kick stand question

I have a 2000 dyna low rider which I had a lowering kit put on it. The kick stand that came with the kit makes the bike lean too much.It has been suggested that I take the old stand and have it cut down so that the length is between the new one and the old one. Does any one know is I might be able to find another stand that would work and not have to cut the old one....don't feel too confident on it holding up and don't need to have my bike fall over if it gives....any help would be appreciated

Turtle I was just on e-bay and couldn't find one. J&P has them for older bikes like yours. Says they are for bikes lowered 1inch. Smiley

Some guys heat with a torch and bend them a little to make them shorter. DO NOT DIP IN WATER WHEN HOT as this can make them brittle. (snap)
