I installed a 1.75" lowering kit on the girlfriends 2009 Street Bob. Now there seems to be less angle when it's on the kick stand. Damn near stands straight up. Do I bend the hell out of her stand or is ther a smarter way to mod it. Do does she need a new one?
They make a 1 inch lower kick stand that will give you more lean. Or there is a mod where you can grind off some of the tab on the stand (that is what I did, works good). If you grind off the tab and then decide to raise the bike back up, you might need a new stand then. your call.. I would not bend your current stand it could weaken the metal..

I would go with the 1" lower kick stand. I would not grind off the tab. First, even if I was to grind the tab, I would have had to grind some frame to make it lock good enough for me. Second as said above, if you decide to go back you have to buy a new jiffy stand.
You may have to go back because she may find it way too stiff of a ride. I dropped mine 2" and have now lifted it 1" to get a better ride.
Any bump was bad and bumps on corners were almost deadly.
