Default Loose sidestand

After installing 13" RK shocks and a lowering kit, I've noticed my side stand drag fairly easily on left turns. I have an adjustable lowering kit and have it on 2in. When I was riding over the weekend, my buddy noticed that it was hanging low.

When we got done, I leaned down and could wiggle the stand all over the place. The spring is fine on it. The play is coming from the pin that mounts the stand to the bike. It almost seems like there is a bushing missing.

The Clymer manual has about a paragraph about removal, but doesn't get into specifics.

Any ideas?

There are 2 brass?/bronze? bushings on the pivot pin that do wear away and cause the stand to loosen up and flop around, get the pivot pin bushings at the stealer and replace them , easy 10 minute job.

With the jiffy stand down, shove some pennies, nickels and/or thick washers in between the spring gaps. When you raise the stand, the spring will fall off.
Old vs. new bushing:

I don't grease the pivot because oxidation helps keep the jiffy stand from popping back up while you're attempting to keep it in the down position long enough to lean your bike over. Some people may object to that practice, but it works for me. I think I replaced the bushings on the OL's bike 3 times in 50,000 miles. It probably should have been more often. On one occasion, a bushing was worn into pieces.
