Done deal!
I was off work today and arrived at my local HD dealership for a demo ride on an 06 Wide Glide. They had a nice black 06 for me to demo. I had been looking forward to today for weeks. Three weeks ago I had been at the dealership and fell in love with a Pearl Yellow Wide Glide that had just arrived. It was still in the warehouse, and not moved to the dealership's showroom. I have never seen a more beautiful paint job on any bike. The Pearl Yellow is stunning! I called yesterday and the Pearl Yellow was still in the warehouse.
The weather today was great. I left the dealership and rolled out into the highway. By the time I shifted into third gear it was a done deal! I couldn't believe how smooth the tranny was! I turned down a road I knew had some sweet turns and just let her go. It felt so good downshifting and then throttle up through the turn. The bike just seemed to glide effortlessly through each turn. I really was amazed how the Wide Glide handled-I really wasn't expecting such a responsive front end on the 21 inch 90 mm tire.
After about 45 minutes I pulled back into the dealership confident I was making the right choice. I had initially wanted a Fat Boy, but it couldn't come close to the ride and looks of the Wide Glide.
I'm adding a 180 mm rear tire, an SE shash down muffler, and some Kury footpegs with stirrups. I will pick up the finished bike in a couple days. I can't wait!

I have a Street Bob arriving March and today took a wide glide out just like you. Man that is sweet and quite a rush - only took 20 minutes of cruising and it felt like I had been riding it all my life. I can see exactly how you felt.
Question - Are you getting the yellow or waiting for another colour?

Hell yeah, nothing like taking off work & going to the bike shop. That's the best. Nothing like buying yourself Christmas ( or after christmas ) presents. Congrats on the new scoot my friend. Pearl yellow sounds awesome...

Congratulations on the new Wide Glide. I was interested in how the yellow pearl looked, so I went to the H-D website and generated the pic shown below. VERY NICE!!
