Thanks for the info., so for anyone that has one with that manufacture date do they not have the white liner now? With as long as a guy waits to get one of these it's hard to imagine a 5 day turnaround but they are great people to deal with in my book.
Five day turnaround sounds about right. I sent mine out last thursday, so they couldn't have gotten it till early this week, and it shipped out headed back to me today.
Alright kind of off topic but regarding it. How do you all like the acc helmets? does it really look like a skid lid? or is it half way btwn a skid lid and dot half helemt. I hate the look of my halfhelmet I have a small noggin and i am bald which makes it worse so the tighter to the skin the better for me. I just wouldn't want to drop 200 bucks on a helmet that fits the same as my current half helmet. Currently my half helmet sits about 2-3' off my head and doesn't hug the sides of my narrow dome (also I konw there will never be a dot helemt that fits like a skid lid, but the current dot's are rediculously big). do I understand it correctly that acc molds the hlmet to custm fit your head? or am I just believing what I want to about these guys???? Any response is great.
That doesn't look bad but do you have to wear goggles on top of your glasses to see.I wasted about $20 on a novelty helmet and then realized I couldn't ride any faster than about 40 without some sort of eye protection on top of my glasses. At that point I just said the hell with it and went back to my full face.

I can't ride with any helmet, except full face with shield down without foamie style glasses on. The wind will make your eyes constantly water. Goggles aren't necessary unless you like that look. And you can find those type sunglasses at vendors at bike events without having to pay a ton of money for them. You can spend all you want and still not get the right results unless you try on several styles and sizes to get the right fit around your eye sockets. It doesn't have to be a complete seal like you might get with goggles but it needs to be pretty close. I went through several pair of the foamie style glasses before I finally got some help from a knowledgable vendor and found a pair that fit perfectly and now I have no problems with my eyes while riding at any speed with any style of open faced helmet. I bought mine from Ghostriders. They were $18 a pair and came with a lifetime warranty. If I break them, all I've to do is send them back with $5 for shipping and they will replace them. I bought a pair of sunglasses and an identical pair of frames with clear lenses for night/cloudy riding.
With all that said, I realize you can't really wear glasses under those. But, there are companies that will put prescription lenses in the foamie style frames for you. Of course, they aren't as cheap but they are bound to be way more comfortable than glasses with goggles over the top. Again, though, the trick is getting the right fitment around the eye. It's almost impossible, unless you are lucky, to mail order these things and get something you are happy with. I've also seen vendors at bike events that do the prescription foamie glasses. I didn't talk to them because I don't need prescription glasses but I imagine you probably have to find the right frame fitment, give them your prescription, and they send them to you later.
