... "Why did you buy a Dyna? Aint that a womans bike?" ...
The question to ask him in return would've been: "And you need a bike as a d!ck replacement ... why? You get laughed at by a girl-friend when you were a kid?"
Well at least the class is movin up, If sporster's and dyna's are womens bikes us guy's are running out of options.
Seriously, when I went to put money down on my Dyna the Dealer wanted ID. He took my driver license and slid it back to me and said "sorry, the Dyna's are for chicks only dude. Get outta here."
i remember a couple months ago...i was at a victory dealer gathering here in ventura.......i saw two bikes.....a night train and a street bob.......it was a dude and his wife.....the street bob was his and the night train was his wife's man....if any bike is a chic bike its the softail......and sportster.....i see alot of chicks with a deluxe
Exactly, I was going to say that, now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever personally seen a chick on a dyna. I'm sure I have but didn't notice. The ones I do remember were either on Sporties, Softails, or Baggers for the most part. But, I don't go calling ANY of those girl's bikes...
Also, curiously, as I've recently started to explore other forums on this site, it occurred to me that we rarely hear from any chicks in the dyna forum. Unless maybe it's "Devil's Haircut's wife" or something like that. Yet I go lurk in other forums and see chicks posting in those all the time.
For it to be a chick's bike, they sure do seem to avoid it. 'Nuff said.
In the army helicopter maintenance world, I call the copilot who runs up aircraft with me a RUB for run up b*&^%, what does RUB stand for in the HD world? Just curious. Thanks.

I talked to a "friend" today that I havent spoken with since I purchased my Street Bob back in Sept. I remembered he rides a '02 or '03 Softail Standard I believe. So I told him I bought a Street Bob and he says..." Why did you buy a Dyna ? Aint that a womans bike ?" I almost felt bad having to rip his inferior Softail, but what else was I supposed to do. I suppose its not entirely his fault I guess....apparently RUB's dont know any better

Supposedly - Rich Urban Biker but it's becoming more and more synonymous with "poser". Just because you have a few dollars, live in the burbs, and own a bike, why is it a rule that it's a bad thing in the bike community? It's a stereotype just like "biker" is.
Some threads are meaningful, thoughtful and a lot are helpful and enlightening. this girls bike subject however makes for a very useless and ridiculousthread. sorry, no offense to anyone but geez!
I've noticed the 'touchiness' on the subject on the sporty forum andive noticed it on the dyna forum. i'm sure it doesn't end there.
In my experiences, the majority of people who say these kinds of things most likely never had one of the bikes they are trying to rip on to begin with. iow, they just don't know any better.
Still, i wouldn't worry about it any more than i worry about joe smith down the street telling me that my Z71 is ugly and wimpy and that i should have bought a ford. it's all a matter of what you want in a bike (a common and perhaps the most logical reply to this question).
