I guess I'm too stupid to live but I've been on the HD site trying to figure out which chrome outer primary cover will fit my '98 FXD. I see ones for older ones and newer ones but not that year model. Did the softail and dyna cover change that year for some reason or am I missing something? How is Santa gonna get that for me if he can't find it?

hey synisterglide try this, mandmcycles.com, click custom chrome, look up primary covers, and the part no. is 28820 at $185.00 . check it out yourself, if you get one don't forget the starter shaft bushing. check it out.

 

one more thing, don't tell nobody I said this but because your bike is 10 years old the MOCO doesn't like to recognize that fact. Thank goodness for after market.

 

Thanks guys for the aftermarket hook ups. I will check those out (I'm certainly not tied to the MOCO). Guess you're right Senior - 10 yr old bike in their eyes in ancient....to me it's just broke in good.
