I'm kinda confused choosing between different types ofProgressive rear shocks for my 07 Bob. 412, 418, 430, 440 or 812? I'm leaning more toward the 430s & 440s I hear good things about the 440 all the time, but did anyone tried the 430s before?
I installed the progressive IAS 440's 12.5 inches HD...they are pretty awesome. Easy to adjust....just twist the top....don't need a tool or anything.
I have a corbin hollywood solo seat and though it looks really cool on the bike, it's like riding a board...after upgrading the shocks...I swear it added and 1hr or more to my ride time comfort. Smoothed out the ride throught the corners as well...I'll be upgrading the front shocks this winter either with progressive springs with heavier oil...or a set of inverted storz front forks...lol...
Here's a pic of the 440's on my 06 st bob...don't rag on the bags...I like having stuff like tools, oil, etc when I'm out riding around....
Im running 418's and I think they're great. I wanted a different look that the stockers though. But my 418's are 12" Heavy Duty and the bike rides great. Im about 290 lbs and the bike bottomed out all the time with OEM (ya think) Ive done nothing to thesee as far as preload or dampening and they have never bottomed.
