Funny - my dealer told me to wait also, but my bike is carbed. Engine monitoring self test sounds good to me. Been waiting for the little light now going on a year and a half so am used to it...Would somehow feel wrong to start it while the light is on - throw off my karma and all

I waited both on a carbed bike and EFI bike. I have started the bikeby accident on my carbed bike while the light was still on and the sky didn't fall. I overheard a salesman yesterday giving the all familiar instructions to a new buyer and they stated make sure the light goes out before starting it.
