I had the cobra speedster pipes and the cobra fi200r tuner installed by my dealer, the only problem that I have incountered with is is it still seems to run rich under any cirumstance, I have had my bike on three different dynos, and no one can seem to lean it out with out drastically reducing the power level of the bike. I was averaging about 45-50 mpg, after I installed everything I am averaging between 25-35mpg, depending on how I and where I ride, but on a postive note, the power increase was worth it.
Check your settings. Cobra came out with new instructions for 07/08 changing the green dial from 3.5 to 1.5. Other default settings remain the same. I have a copy of it in Adobe Acrobat if you want me to mail it to you.
Also might want to get a copy of the October 2007 edition of American Rider. Good article by Joe Minton in there.
Anyone install a FI2000R O2 Fuel Processor made by Cobra on Dyna? Any issues with do it?
Check out this site. I found it while doing a search on the FI2000. Now I am not convinced I have the best fuel processor. God I have too much time on my hands. Got to get back to work!
Thanks for the update, but according to my dealer this setting is only good for the stock 96" engine, mine is the 110", the reason we decided to go with the cobra tuner was they were the only one that had a good starting point for the settings on the tuner for my engine, I am sure as time passes and more people want proformance upgrades to the screamin eagle bikes more options will be available.
I have had my bike on three different dynos and everyone seems to come up with close to the same settings, however there is another dealer in my area that specializes in high proformance dyno tune (ex: drag bikes) I am seriously thinking about letting them have a go at my tuner and see what they have to say.
