My understanding is if you don't plan on any further mods besides pipes and maybe a/c, the fuelpak is ok. Once you get into cams and bore kits, etc the fuelpak was not designed to handle that sort of thing. Best to choose power commander or sert or any of the auto-tune fuel management devices.

Had a PCIII on my sporty...loved it.
Have a FP on my Dyna LOVE IT.

For the price, I'm glad I went with the FP (bought it on Fleabay for $120)

The estimated cost from a dealer in Columbia, sc is around $800 for parts/labor/tune. I already have the cams so that is not figured into the cost but they are wood tw6 that I got used for $250. New they are $390. So, in total just a hair over $1000.

Even though I'm not even in the same ballpark as someone like JRK, I think I could do the swap myself if I had a workspace. Right now I dn't have any garage or shed and my yard is mostly sand. Not willing to allow sand to blow into the cam chest and make a mess of my motor. So Im a little stuck with paying someone to do it.

That total cost could be less depending on what cams are chosen. Wood is a bit on the pricey side overall.

If I did the swap myself, I could save $300-$350 in labor. They told me it was around 5 hrs @ $70/hr for labor.

I'm not sure how this will affect my warranty since I still have about a year left. I also thought about this dealer specifically because they run drag bikes in the ahdra and figure they might have a better tuner than most.

I also found some of the parts online from Zanottis and could save myself $50-$75. Dealer said "if you spend $400+, we give you a 15% discount on parts." With new tensioners, the parts cost would be $450. 15%...45+22.50=67.50. Dyno time is charged at 70/hr and they estimated 2 hrs to tune.
