ok i was at my dealer for over an hour today looking and looking and could not find a pair of apes that dont size down for stock risers.
I want to get 1 1/4 bars and do a new risers seperate ones and not that plate like stock. Can someone help me out with is. They were saying the only thing i could do is to go to 1 1/2 bars because they arnt sized down for stock risers but(also the 1 1/2 anrt knerled on the bars any they say they might slip), I dont think 1 1/2 bars will look good on a streetbob(to big i thinkbut i could be wrong) but that is just a guess i have seen them on a bob yet.
anyways can someone help me out with this
oh i want 16" apes by the way
Try Milwaukee twins and La choppers they both have a 1 1/4 in bar. Also wild one makes an adaptor that takes there 1 at riser bars up to 1 1/4. been looking myself for a set of 16 in apes for my 07 WG and these are the options I have found for my 1 1/4 risers. Hope this helps.
You can go with the 1 1/4" apes with no step down, but any of the risers I have found with 1 1/4" ID have been WAY expensive. If you really want separate risers with no step down, it would be much cheaper to go with 1" bars. I don't know, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?
The 1 1/2" bars look good with the 49 mm Mid Glide front ends but yer gonna pay...Call Matt at the Link I posted above.....If there made he'll lead you there.. He's the man..
Amish.... I miss read you first post I thought you had a 08 with the built in risers ... Lo is right... Any of the 1 1/4" bars or risers without a top plate will work... Check out that link there are plenty of choices there and most a knurled
