Default PC III Pro's and Con's...

I'm getting ready to put on Rush Slip-on's and the Arleen Ness Big Sucker..... Dealer wants 150 bones for a re-map. Wasthinkingit might be better to spend a few more $$ and go with a PCIII.

If you have the PCIII are you happy with it?

Any inputs comments and suggestions are welcome....

Thanks....

I love mine. Much better throttle response than the factory map. And when I change pipes again all I have to do is update the map. I had a friend of mine who happens to be a Harley Tech tell me that the maps the dealership uses are very generic. For instance, if youinstalled V&H Big Shots and a Big Sucker intake, they would use the map for Screaming Eagle pipes and a Screaming Eagle intake.

Thanks Sarge...great info......I was afraid the maps would be very generic. I have read that FuelMoto has the best prices?

Is it easy to install ?

Thanks

Mines great had it put on before it rolled off the lot.

I have had it off so I could relocate it and that was easy, I wouldn't think the install would be any harder.

Down loading new maps is also easy.

the only con that I can think of is getting the thing to fit under the seat, but once you get it in there it is all good.
Dont forget to use dielectric grease in the fittings

Con- Takes up room under the seat which is already crowded

Pro- Fine tuning throughout the RPM range at different throttle positions.

It doesn't have to go under the seat. I attached mine to the back of the battery box, I can look at it and get to with no problems and no under seat crowding.

Install was easy.

I actually took advice from this forum, and did stick it under the seat as opposed to what the instructions say to do. Made more sense, and took about 20 minutes or so.
