put shortshot staggered on my stock fatbob and didn't notice any driveability differences with the new pipes. plus sounds like a harley should now. also running standard baffles.
Trotter...I assume those are power cones? What brand? Also, will the quiet cores deepen the sound at all and create a little more back pressure? Or did I waste my money on these?
I like the way the short shots look. With my set up that is the look im after. The Thunderheaders I know perform well but look like **** to me. My buddy has them and the have kind of a raspy sound at high RPM.
I have ridden withfriends that have a newer Softtail Standard and an '02 or so WideGlide, both EFI. My bike sounds noticeably better than their. The Softtail guy has short V&H pipes, but their slightly bigger in diameter. Maybe they're big shot shorts? I dunno, but he admitted my bike was louder and sounded better.
Nothing New ( Stock) is gonna match the Sound of the EVO or Shovel Head ... Keep yer Carbed Bike... You wont regret it ... Got any Pic's of the bike Very Clean ? It's sweet..
