I have Street Bob mini apes on my 06 Super Glide. The wiring was just long enough to work witout changing anything.
I am wanting to do the mini apes as well and had 2 questions
1 is all the extra slack for the wiring under the tank?
2 did you buy stock streetbob cables or aftermarket (if so how much longer)?

howdy!

urdollar, i'd hope this wasn't a stupid question because it's the same one i needed an answer to! so thank you from another newbie.

in the same vein, i am changing out my stock 07 fxdc bars to the stock mini apes from an 06 street bob and was wondering if there's any thing beyond the length of the cables (I'm hoping that the stock cables will be long enough) that I should be mindful of.

specifically, i was wondering about the method of removing/ replacing the hand grips.

thanks guys!

does anyone know the part number for the kury signal relocation kit.
Their site isn't the easiest to navigate.
thanks.
Part number is 2287. They are $50.

Since you are new, you may not have seen this. However, there are several threads on the subject you can probably find by searching "front signal relocation". I would just give you the specifics instead of telling you to search but I don't have them. The bolts that come in the Kury kit are made to fit Kury bullet signal lights which use a coarse threaded bolt. The HD signals use the same size bolts but require a fine thread. The bolts need to bea certain type in order to fit without getting in the way between the forks and the clamps. I had a hard time finding them in any store but they do exist and the threads out there even tell you exactly what to buy and places online to buy them from. They also discuss different methods for installing the clamps. The HD lights will not fit flush against the clamps so you'll want to use something between them like a small, thin washer or some have even used 2 locknuts to make them adjustable.
