Default question about drag bars??

I have a question that you all can probably answer. I was wondering if you can put a drag bar on the sporty and keep your turn signals on the bar and not having to relocate them to the forks?

Some bars i have seen are too short to put them on and some bars are a little wider.

Just curious...let me know and if you have pics with them still on the bars, post them for me.

Thanx

Really depends on the specific bars...

You would need to check the 'fork lock distance' from side to side to make sure the signals have enough clearance with the tank.

If not it's a pretty simple matter of moving the signals down to the forks.

When I installed the new front end on my 2005 1200C the signals were moved down to the forks. Didn't need to cut any wires, and the relocation clamps can be purchased for $20 or less.

may sound goofy but i wanted them to stay on the bars, as most people like to move them on down.

I put the drag bars on, but I never tried to put the lights in the orginal place. I automatically thought they would go to the front forks. I did this because of some bikers here had cool pictures and I liked the look.

You can put drag bars on and keep your signals on the bars. I have mine this way. I have 32" drag bars with the lights still on the bars. I am going to move them however this winter because I like the look of them when they are moved. It all depends on what bars your get for the most part.

Yes they fit on mine too. However I want to move them so i can get more clearance to angle the bars the way i want them.
