Oil filter?
I like the AMSOIL in the tranny and engine. formula + in the primary... good reason to use synthetic is due to the heat our air cooled motors generate... above 250º the oil starts loosing it protective properties quickly... synthetic will maintain their protection better at higher temps. and also will keep the engine cooler.
use the H-D filter and get a wrench for the filter that has the cutout in it for the sensor. works well.

HD filter, but one that is made for it, like the K&N one mentioned before is probably fine. Be careful taking off the oil filter because there is a little sensor/switch right next to the filter and you don't want to break it. The HD wrench has a cutout specifically so it doesn't hit the sensor/switch. I personally use channel locks, but my filter removal method is a bit weird...
i use to run castrol GTX in my hot rod cars until this old mechanic told me the next time i poured a quart of castrol look in the bottom of the empty bottle well i did and have NEVER used it since!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not consider any filter other than the K&N. You will never regret it, especially when it comes oil change time to change again and again and again. Also consider the oil bib by motion pro, or fabricate something similar to keep the oil off of your motor mount
Stock TC black filter is $8.95, chrome is $13.95. Buy them on sale (20% 0ff) they're a little over $7.00 each. I buy several at a clip, they fit all TC's 99 and later. If chrome is your thing, buy chrome, but I've never heard of anyone having a problem with the stock filter, period. They're inexpensive, OEM and you know they'll fit.
