Hi I'm looking for a little help on the idle cable adjustment.
Just installed one of my Christmas goodies, skull hand grips and I ran into a problem with an adjustment after the grips are on the handlebars.
The service manual says to adjust the idle cable until the cable housing just touches the spring in the cable support sleeve on the carb. Sounds simple but for the life of me I can not see the spring. I've used mirrors, had a buddy look but the space next to the carb is so tight, just can't get to see inside the sleeve. If I tighten too much, the throttle sticks wide open, leave it loose it feels real sloppy.
Anyone have a suggestion or remedy? Thanks in advance. 2003 wide glide.
Agreed I just changes handles this afternoon, I adjusted the cables just by playing with them and feeling it out, turn left mke sure they snap back, turn right make sure they snap back and done.
