But my 412s are only 13' and the stocks are 13'5, so that makes only 0.5 shorter than the stock. u think it would do that bigger change for two up riding and the belt slack?

The drive belt deflection for 2005 Dyna models5/16 in.-3/8 in.I went from stock shocksto 11 inch shocks and it wasOK. You should be fine with a 0.5 inch drop.
