PUT AKRONT ALUM. RIMS ON MY FLAT BLACK STREET BOB. POWERCOATED THE HUBS AND DISCS FLAT BLACK AND THE RIMS FIRE ENGINE RED. I THEN LACED THEM UP WITH S.S. SPOKES AND NIPPLES. 3.5 " BY 18" ON THE FRONT WITH A 140 METZLER. 5.5 " BY 17" ON
THE BACK WITH A 180 S.E. TIRE. I REMOVED THE FRONT FENDER AND SHAVED THE MOUNTS OFF BEFORE I POWERCOATED THE SLIDERS FLAT BLACK. I ALSO CUT 7 " OFF THE BACK FENDER, PUT ON A FLAT BLACK RACK AND MOVED THE PLATE HOLDER AND LIGHT UPWARDS...
THE RED AND FLAT BLACK LOOKS CRAZY GOOD WITH DRAG BARS AND A WIND VEST. I POWERCOATED MOST OF THE CHROME FLAT
BLACK AND PAINTED THE REST FLAT BLACK.

THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS I HAD TO SHAVE 3/8" OFF THE REAR CALIPER AND CUT THE REAR DISK TO GET THE REAR WHEEL IN.
UNTIL I GET A P.M. REAR CALIPER I HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE BRAKE LINE TO REMOVE THE REAR WHEEL...BUT IT LOOKS GREAT!!!

ANYONE ELSE LIKE FAT FRONT TIRES OR ALUMINUM RIMS ???


NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A WHEELIE !!!

PICS please. I got the Street Bob because of the paint. I love the look of the flat black. Now owning it, I just love the bike. The flat black and red is the same color of the Vengeance Teacher & Black Widow I wanted. Long story but that's how I ran into the Street Bob. I am jealous. Got to see some shots.

I'd like to see the rims myself. Please post a few pictures and an approx. cost for the powdercoating. Sounds like a real beauty.
