HAS ANYONE ELSE TRIED A 13 IN. DISK AND 6 PISTON DIFFERENTIAL CALIPER ON A DYNA. I PUT ONE ON THE FRONT OF MY STREET BOB AND NOW IT DOES NOSE WHEELIES AND STOPS MUCH BETTER.....
ONLY PROBLEM IS PRICE....I PAID $ 750 O.T.D. AND PUT IT ON MYSELF WITH THE STANDARD SHIMS. A LITTLE DISCOUNT....
IT SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE TO MAKE THEM STOP BETTER IF YOU MAKE THEM GO FASTER.....
I am thinking about putting brembo calipers on the 06 Wide Glide i am waiting for, i also looked at the PM setup. I think its worth the price, if you ever need extra braking power you won't regret it. Did it require any other changes? did you get stainless steel brake lines? did you leave the rear stock
The salesman at the harley dealer thought the bigger disc wouldnt help the Wide Glide because of the smaller tire, anyone with a wide glide add the bigger disc or 6 piston caliper?
I put a 140 tire on the front with a powercoated red akront alum. rim and it has plenty of rubber for stopping. Left the lines stock as
as i mostly motor brake a have not seen any fade...I left the back stock as it locks up the wheel just fine. I had to shave off the back of the caliper
and turn down the disc on a lathe to make the 5.5 alum akront rim fit. I will buy a 4 piston caliper for the back in black for $ 450 when I get some extra money.
Thanks for the reply pictures tomorrow LATER ANDRE'
