I've had CS on my last three bikes, can't beat the price, they are a little on the loud side. The chrome on my current set seems to rust fairly easy compared to the last two.
hi all
i think the cycle shack turn outs look class, especially on a streetbob. I had a pair, sold em, and went to the v&h slip-ons , but now want to go back.
Has anyone fitted a different baffle to the cycle chacks? i wouldn't mind deepening or quitening them a little.
Cycle shack makes a performance baffle for their slip ons, but I havn't tried or heard them. I cut my stock baffles down to make them similar and the sound is deeper but louder. If you want quieter you could probably try packing some fiberglass around the stock muffler.
1527 XP Baffle Replacement Muffler Pipe Baffle
XP replacement baffle for extra power. Dyno test show this baffle give us to three HP more(depending on motor configurations) in the upper RPM range without losing bottom and power. Fits our "SS" series muffler pipes. Sold each.
are you running stock ecm program? and a/c? popping or overheating issues?
I have a 2001 Super Glide so I have a carb which has been rejeted because I also installed a Yost Power tube and a Ness Big SuckerAC when I put the Cycle Shacks on. Never messed with the baffles cause it sounds good and performance wise when I had it dyno tuned it made 69 hp & 77 tq.
