OK guys I got this kit. Is it as simple as it looks. Any surprises I should know about? I have a 2007 FXDI and plan on mounting signals on the lower 3tree bracket. Do I need new bolts or are the ones supplied OK? Knew to biking and HD. Trying to do some mods myself w/o f---ing things up and voiding my wonderful warrantee.
Any help is appreciated.
Dan
wait.....they must attach to where the lower pinch bolts would go- replacing the stock ones for the longer allen heads...bracket goes in between.....got it
...not a bad alternative to the HD relocation or the Kuryakyn clamps
yeah, i'd be interested to see how those look installed! ....if you get a chance, snap a shot nycfxdl .....i have the kuryakyn ones on, but those really are a nice conservative alternative
Those look great I tried to buy a set of those from JP and they refused my PayPal said it needed to be verified, whatever. That said I think that's probably the cleanest relocation I've seen yet.
yeah they look good but i'll probably make my own,
longer cap head bolt,
spacer (bush) to get the head of the bolt out of the counter bore of the clamp
then just a bracket that bolts the bracket to the tree clamp and that the light can bolt too....
too freakin easy really
then i gotta make a bracket for the rears too that just drops the light down a bit lower and frees up that rear strut bolt, let it come in from the outside rather that out from the inside, will make it heaps easier to quick change my sissy bar.
gotta go pour another JD
