So lemme get this right, you have a switch that turns on one light vs the other..
The Wiring is similiar to a christmas tree light, The Positive wire Jumps onto both Positive terminals of the light, and the Negative is spliced and grounded.
Yep, sure is weird! & stupid, most of the Jap bikes have 2 headlights and I think they both work simultaneously.
Can't believe how difficult it is to find the female socket number to suit the bulbs when they are all standard fit to the US bikes. Any idea who I can email etc?
So can I just confirm that all I'll need to do the project is the following?
69800-08Reflector assembly -$143.00
69838-08Halogen bulb - $13.22
72161-06Housing 2 way socket -$2.20

Foxster - the H13 cables on ebay work out at approx Ł35 delivered. I found another site that delivers to the uk. Do you think this would do the job? It's ALOT cheaper. http://www.buyheadlightbulbs.com/H13...p/cir-9104.htm

Foxster, first of all thanks for the instructions, they were great. Just to throw a curve ball though, the leads that I got from the place above were wired slightly differently, meaning the colours were different to your instructions. Luckily I tested this before soldering!! I had to do yellow to green and red to white.
Just a couple of queries. There were two black leads from the bike, yet you picture only shows one black to the two blacks from the lights. Does it matter if all the black leads are connected?
Secondly, although it's no too much of a bother, the High Beam indicator light is lit slightly on low beam and lit correctly on high beam. Any ideas as to why that could be?
Tried registering on the HDGB site but it keeps failing. Do I need to be referred?
Thanks again for your help - looks great now!! Very happy

What year is your bike? Maybe the wiring was slightly different than on my '10 model.
The black wires will all be grounds so should be fine to connect them all together.
Don't know about the high beam indicator, though I vaguely remember something like this from elsewhere when doing a similar change. That kind of thing is usually due to a bad ground- might be worth experimenting by running a temporary wire from the ground side of the battery to the headlight black wires and seeing if that cures it.
