Default DYNA FRONT END AND RAKE

I have a Dyna Fat Bob. Does anyone know if an 08 Dyna wide front end will fit onto the 08 Fat Bob? Wanting to know how I could increase the rake on a Fat Bob from 29 to say 30/31 degree like a wide glide.

Isnt the front end on FX models basically the same?

WideGlide has more rake in the frame than the rest of the Dynas, as well as 2deg trees. I'm in the process of coming up with a solution tothe bearings being pressed in the neck. I'm having a guy build a set of 3deg cups that will fit in the neck. Then probably go with a set of WG trees for a total of 5deg rake. I'll be sure to post the outcome of this whole mess as it progresses. Stay Tuned!

So, could you take the trees from the wide and put on a regular dyna frame? It wouldnt rake out like a wide but it would still be more than a regular dyna. ...right?

Yes they will fit. It is only 2deg of rake over stock though, hardly noticeable. WG has 36deg of rake (i believe) 34 in frame and 2 in the trees while a SB has only 29 deg in frame and 0deg in trees. 7deg of rake will make quite a diff.

Well its still in its infant stages but hopefully by next weekend I can give you a better ideaon if its going to work. Basically, I'll be taking the stock bearing race out of the neck and replacing it with a raked cup which will then hold an entirely new bearing.

If all goes well, I imaginea kit will soon be available to the masses. Keep your fingers crossed.

if you feel like taking off your tank, the degrees are stamped into the top of the neck, or it should be written in paint marker on the backbone
