Has anyone tried to somehow lower the gearing on their 6 speed bike? I'm not happy with how low it revs in 6th gear. Frankly, I hardly use 6th gear except on freeways at or above 65 mph.Andrews make a 30 tooth transmission pulley, but I calculate that will onlyraise my revs by about 150 to 200 rpm. I'd like to get the revs up by about 400 or so, and it will give me more 'pep' at take off. Thanks all.
I believe Andrew's does make different size front pullies. Stock on my 06 Bob is 32. IIRC, Andrew's make a 30 and a 34 tooth. One for 'power' and one for 'economy'. You sure it wouldn't be enough for you? Seems like 2 less teeth, out of only 32, should give you more than that. But I/m no "math-magician".
