I agree I am going to wait. The bike runs very well right now with the setup. Will do some more info gathering. I need to find someone that has a proven record with sert. If not I will go in another direction.

Dom.... Pay little attention to some of the Crap you read... There1000's of new Harley's running the SERT and ifthe bikewas Tuned right there will beNO problems, your bike will be much happier... Six month's ago you couldn't even get one,,, they were on National backorder...they couldn't keep up with the demand..It'll be like that again this summer... Get your Bike Tuned Go over to the TECH Forum and PM Shovel Head BOB....

Mud is 100% correct... There's no denial's if the dealer installs and Tunes the bike through there service Dept in most area's,... They want to sell them, and the dyno time... If Hum had a problem which he didn't include what kind it was....and they turned him down... There's more than just installing a SERT and a tune... If the bike is tuned correctly your gas mileage will improve, run cooler, much more responsive, and a whole lot more efficient and be at it's best.. Have a problem and take it in with a Thunder Max or Fuel Pak and see what they say...Having the PCIII on the bike and a set of aftermarket pipes and a High Flow A/C and developing a problem and then take off the PCIII and taking it in is gonna cause alot more trouble than leaving it on...Unless you pull the Exhaust and A/C also... But they can tell whats been going on....

Chipstah... You are also 100% correct.. I've had a few major failures on some bikes and because of the personal relationship with the service dept, Parts Dept, Sales Dept,... They did what they had to do to keep me coming back.. Funny how when I get customers in my shop with a attitude were alway Swamped...and cant touch it for 2 or 3 weeks....Or Both brand new Dyno's are down

Humm... "i had the finance manager tell me it's covered if they install it "

What were you thinking ?

I will go and see Jim Sabin Thursday and see what he says. He seems like a great guy over the phone. I spoke with him yesterday. I know he is very good with PC111 product as many members have used him. I have no confindence in my dealer I was told yesterday they put a employee's bike on the dyno and couldn't get anything done in 2hours of time. They will not be running it for customers till the end of February which I presume is for training purposes. I looked at the SERT program and see that it has maps for 2007 bikes similar to my setup which will probably work for a base to start my tune am I correct or is there a download for 2008 bikes on an update?

The 2007 will work as a starting point ... He's gonna wright you a custom map for each Cyl anyhow.. and the Dyno will save the map automatically when finished so you'll always have it.. If he likes using the PCIII then have him use it ... There still wont be a Issue with Warranty if the bike is tuned right... There will be no reason for it to cause a problem related to It... It's when some use any one of the tuning device'sand start loading maps and adjusting and never having ittuned, that problems can arise..

Thanks Trotter. I think I am going to get him to run the SERT and he is up to it. When I do look at the program I can see where people get confused if they have no idea what they are doing and do more damage than good. He has been in business for a long time and wouldn't be if he did poor work. The cost to me is 300.00 for a custom job and he takes his time by the sounds of it.

So, what are some good questions to ask to get the feel if a tuner knows his stuff? I'm still on the fence between TM and SERT. I like the SERT but I don't trust my dealer and he's got the DYNO. There's an indy shop about an hour away that mostly deals PC3, I want to ask him about tuning with the SERT.
