Temps soarded into the mid 40's on Sunday up here in North Dakota, finally got to take the new scoot out for an actual ride. Put on some long-underwear, a couple extra shirts, my winter jacket, some gloves, a beanie, and some wool socks, then headed out on the road. Roads were good as long as you didn't ride in town in the shaded areas, still snow on the roads. Had a blast on my new Street Bob. Got a day of riding in at least, it is now -7 outside, it feels like -28 with the windchill. Taking apart my bike this week and sending some stuff to the powdercoater. Ordered some progressive 412's and the front lowering springs. Can't wait to see what it looks like when she is back together ...should have pics in a couple weeks!!

Went out yesterday warmed up to about 40. Bought the Gerbings gear Jacket, outer pants and gloves earlier in the season. Great investment.

All I can think about is riding my bike!!!

However we, (Edmonton,Alberta) was just hit with -20 F, -35 C, temps with out the windchill, and about 4 inches of snow.
Doesn't look like I'll be getting out for a "Winter" ride anytime soon!!! Damn it.

I used a Joe Rocket Jacket and pants that have zip out liners when riding in 20 degree weather in Germany. Also wore gortex (Army Issue) boots and gloves.

Fox Creek leather jacket with liner over a t-shirt in 36 degrees and was comfortable, except my fingers which were friggin frozen, even with thick leather and thinsulate. Balaclava (face mask) with the Fox Creek neck wrap thing and no cold air gets in, even with my half helmet. Assless chaps keep the legs warm, even on the way to work wearing "business casual".

I ride 18 miles one way everyday in temps down to the mid 20's, except when raining.... Thank goodness we don't get snow here in South Texas...now watch us have an ice storm just because I said that...

When I used to ride in the cold weather in boston I had the windshield, chaps to keep the wind off my legs and the heated gloves to keep my hands warm. I wisk I had a heated jacket or liner for more warmth.

I have to tell you that riding in weather under 40 and going 75 that the gloves dont feel to warm and you kind of wonder if they are still working. lol

Other then that I love to ride in all the different weather but to cold without the proper gear for me is very uncomfortable.

You can bundle everything up....but your hands will always freeze. I gotta look into heated gloves too!

Thanks for the tip on the jacket liner. I wont be working today becase it's snowing in California.

This is the view out my front door. I think I'll drive to the BMW shop in Roseville and look at the heated riding gear. No work, no riding, no wife to lovehttps://www.hdforums.com/m_2745220/tm.htm. Talk about cabin fever. When is Global Warming going to start paying off ?
Hey Zevron, Where are you at in Cali where it's snowing? Good you have a day off, we all need that sometimes. Let us know what kinda gear you come up with.
Cheers to you!
