Steel, you can always notify the MoCo. I'm sure they'd be interested to know which dealers aren't up to par.

Why not wait to bring the bike in when they DO have the part? No sense in having it sit in the shop waiting when you can still ride it just fine.

By the way, I had my indy install this washer for me (my bike's out of warranty) and it did fix that incessant clunk.

After reading all of the information on this website, I took a copy of the Service Bulletin into my dealer, they ordered the part, and installed it for free, even though bike is out of warranty. Clunk is gone. Hats off to Legend Harley Davidson in Silverdale Washington.

I still have the bike, there is no need to let them have it until the part is in. I also took in a copy of the service bulletin in,then the bastards lied to me about it being the right one.

The sad thing is&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;the tech&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;may have been&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;clueless and not current on this,&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;and did not pay attention to the bulletin. He may not have lied to you intentionally.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;Just being stupid and careless. I'm amazed at how much they DON'T know at the dealership about current service issues.
